Provided by YP.comBrought in my best friend who happened to be a guinea pig. The owner and “expert” vet was very rough with him and killed him. Got a canned response of how sorry they were from my loss. Find another place to bring your guinea pig unless you wanted them traumatized and want to see them die.

Provided by YP.comThese folks saw Charlie, my sick bird during office hours when the Avian Vet I was established with couldn't see him. They were great at examination, diagnosis and treatment! I'm impressed and moving my bird's care to this competent practice!

Provided by YP.comDO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. My dog kept tearing her dewclaw and Dr. Barber recommended laser surgery. I was told it was a "minor procedure". Since My father had been taking his dog there for years I stupidly thought that AMC was reliable. I was wrong. When I picked my dog up after the surgery I had to interrogate the lady at the desk (Cindy) for aftercare information. I was told my dog only had to wear her bandages for two days and then I could remove them. Within 2 hours of taking the bandages off she had a gaping hole in her incision site. By the next morning it was completely open. I took my dog in for them to fix it. When I spoke with Dr. Barber she surmised that my dog had gotten around the ecollar THAT THEY HAD FITTED ON HER POST SURGERY. She also had an infection!!! They said she would need antibiotics for the infection AND THEN COULD NOT EVEN TELL ME IF SHE HAD ALREADY HAD ONE OF HER PILLS AT THE HOSPITAL OR NOT!!! They quoted me 400-500 for the laser removal and charged me almost 600 and THEN they charged me almost another 200 to fix a problem created by their inability to communicate and lack of professionalism. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET THERE!!!

Provided by YP.comBeing a rat owner, I've had some lukewarm experiences with vets. I took a sick rat to Animal Medical Center hoping for something different and I had a great experience. Everyone there, from the receptionists to the veterinarians, was attentive and friendly. You can tell they love animals. My rat was thoroughly examined and handled carefully. Many of the staff there own or have owned rats or other small animals, so they understand how important they are to their owners. Other local vets (that claimed they specialized in exotics as well as cats and dogs) didn't seem to care about rats or connect to the animal at all, which to me is one of the most vital aspects in a pet's health. I would highly recommend AMC to anyone with an exotic pet, or any pet for that matter. They were competent and interested to work with me and I think that would extend to traditional pets too. All in all I can't say enough good things about this place. If you need somewhere to take your pet, they won't let you down.

Provided by YP.comThe doctors and staff are very friendly, helpful and honestly care about our pets. They cared for our dog for 12 years and now our 3 cats. One of our kittens needs surgery after he tore his Achilles tendon. They did a great job repairing it. He is now as active as every with no side effects. Great job! Thank you very much.

Provided by YP.comI have been taking my pets to Animal Medical Center for 15 years. The doctors there are wonderful, very compassionate, knowledgeable and caring. Dr. Barber and Dr. Niemczyk have treated my dogs, cats and geckos and I have always been happy with their care. The staff is great also, always very friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend them to anyone.

Provided by YP.comWe had taken our dog to the Animal Medical Center in Appleton WI (A.M.C.)for over 5 years and were relatively happy, that was until our dog needed serious life saving surgery. Prior to this the only treatments ever administered were shots and exams. They, in my opinion nearly killed our dog and she has since never been the same. When the problem after the surgery first appeared, I called their office right away and was told this was "normal", when the problem worsened, we took her back to their clinic on our own initiative, they barely did anything to remedy the situation. Two days later we ended up having to rush our dog to the Fox Valley Animal Medical Center due to a holiday and paid $5,000 to save her life. The surgeon at the Referral Center said her infection was so severe she would have surely dies within a few days. I addressed this issue with A.M.C. since the Referral Center had to redo all three incisions made by A.M.C. all three of which had all ruptured and were severely infected. A.M.C. insisted they had nothing to do with any of this problem and called it a "bad result" - they displayed a very irresponsible attitude and if they were the last vet on earth I would not go there. I tell all of my friends and family the same.
