i love coming in with the family to do crafts. i do have to agree with others, when you have to hunt if you have questions. not too many will just offer to help you out. but i also ask for help and have gotten it. we will continue to come back, and the camps for kids are amazing.

My first and only other experience with working with ceramics and such, was at a hotel resort. Wy wife and I painted an item for our daughter. We had such a good experience, the people there were so helpful and the item turned out to look like a nice craft, even though we had no skills in that area. That being said I assumed my experience at an establishement made to do just this one type of thing would have been great as well. I went to The Fire in Appleton WI with my daughter to make something for my wife for mothers day. The people there wouldn't help even when I was asking them questions. Basically they told us where the colors are and left it to us. I asked about how the stamps work and other things. All answers were short and nothing was hands on at all. Finally I told my daughter (3 yrs old) just to do what she wanted and all in all, of course mom loved it, just would have been nice to get some help and maybe some ideas of what and how to do things. I did get a nice chuckle at the end while checking out my purchase, when I noticed a tip jar at the counter.

I PICKED UP SOME PIECES AND HAD A QUESTION ABOUT THE WAY ONE TURNED OUT- THE PERSON WHO WE ASKED WAS ROUD TO BOTH OF US AND DID NOT SEEN TO CARE- THEN WE GET DOWN THE ROAD AND NOTICE WHAT LOOKS LIKE A CHIP IN ONE PIECE WHICH WAS THEN COVERED UP WITH WHAT LOOKS LIKE A BLOB OF PAINT- NOT EVEN BRUSHED TO BLEND IN.

WENT BACK AND SAID I DO NOT WANT TO TALK ABOUT THIS IN FRONT OF OTHER CUSTOMERS TIO BE ROUD- WAS REALLY TRYING TO BE RESPECTFUL OF THEIR BUSINESS- HOWEVER THEY STARTED TALKING MORE LOUDLY IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS AND MADE ME FEEL AS THOUGH I WAS BEING UNREASONABLE FOR NOT LIKING WHAT WAS DONE- THEY THEN OFFERED ME A GIFT CARD- BUT TO BE HONEST BY THAT TIME I FELT SO BAD- THEY MADE ME FEEL LIKE WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL- SO WHAT- IT HAPPENS- THIS IS AS ONE GIRL SAID WHAT HAPPENS WHEN FIRED AND SORRY SOMEONE DID A LOUSY JOB PAINTING IT. THIS BLEW MY MIND-



BOTTOM LINE- A PIECE WAS DAMAGED- LOOKS LIKE A CHIP- THEN PAINTED OVER WITH A BLOB OF PAINT- THEN WOULDN'T YOU THINK A NOTE WOULD BE PUT ON THE PEICE TO MENTION TO CUSTOMER WHEN THEY CAME IN?

THAT WAS WHAT I WAS TRYING TO SAY- THATS ALL- BUT INSTEAD WAS MADE TO FEEL REALLY BAD FOR NOT LIKING WHAT WAS DONE AND HAD ALREADY PAID FOR?

I GUESS I AM THE CRAZY ONE- THEY HAD SUCH BAD ATTITUDES AND I DID NOT CARE ABOUT THE GIFT CARD- I WAS TRYING TO GET THEM TO UNDERSTAND THE PRINCIPLE - AND THEY DID NOT GET IT.

JUST A SINCERE I AM SORRY- THATS ALL IT WOULD HAVE TAKEN- REALLY



BUT I LIKE PAYING FOR THINGS THAT GET CHIPPED OR DAMAGED AND THEN COVERED UP WITH PAINT TO HIDE IT AND NOTHING SAID TO ME- SEEMS NOT RIGHT!
