Ok place to buy (even tho half their movies are sold at or lower prices at your local walmart) NOT a great place to sell. Took 43 paperback books in they wanted to give me 12 bucks for them that's not even 30 cents a book! But they have given me dollars on movies and cd's yet their name is 1/2 priced books lol. Look in your local yellow pages for a local book dealer not a retailer you will get a better deal and they will be even more appreciated.

Such a neat business. Tons of books to choose from and roughly 75% of them are newer books for, coincidentally, half off. The people that work there are very helpful and they definitely know what they are talking about. If that wasn't enough, you can sell your books at this location for a little pocket cash. Half Price Books is a win win, no doubt about it.

Finally having a Half Price Books store in the Fox Valley area is wonderfull! Our store has everything you could possibly think of in books, tapes, CD, computer software, cards, and even LP's in great condition. It's like having your own personal library in minutes and at a fractional of the price. This isn't an stuffy old book sellers store. It's clean, bright, friendly and inviting. They picked a perfect location on Casaloma Drive in Appleton, Wisconsin and are manned by informed and helpful staff.I love books on history, biography, crafts and some games that aren't played as much as they should be these days. Chess and special card games. They have books and computer software on how to play these games.I think having a Half Price Books Store in our area was not only about time, it adds to our already great Fox Valley area.Rose Marie LewisMenasha, WI
