Mrs. Yu is truly best at Speech Therapy. My son was a late talker at 3 yrs old and it was affecting his confidence. We feel it made him shy and reserved vs his classmates. He would often get frustrated at us for not understanding him when asked to repeat and he would shut down. It was heart breaking.

Mrs. Yu immediately developed a rapport with our son where he felt comfortable which was so important. She seemed to understand him more than us! This made him very talkative while with her. She never asked him to repeat things either. Her techniques seem to my son like they're playing but we could tell she was teaching him at the same time.

We are so grateful for you Mrs. Yu. Our son is 5 now and is outgoing, witty, and a goofball. He's able to read and excels and participates in class.

As an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) specialist, I had the pleasure to work with Connie Yu in a public school for students with complex communication needs. Ms. Connie is so patient and effective in her therapy approaches. She provides parents activities to incorporate in the home. My son was minimally verbal and after 4 months, his speech/language skills are age appropriate. Thank you Recess Therapy!
