Provided by YP.comI should preface this with the fact that I do not have a DUI, but my friend/room mate got one a few years before we met. Since then he's straightened his life out, but has had to get an interlock system on his vehicle. Monitech is a deceptive company who doesn't give their consumers all the information they need to make informed purchase choices. For example, they do not tell you that their product malfunctions with diabetics. Their product malfunctions all the time and is worthless. For example, cold, moisture on the mouthpiece, dust in the air, and even city fumes can set the device off and give a person a fail. On top of it all, they have the WORST customer service of any company I've ever done business with. Not only have we requested a manager call us back three times in 5 weeks with no answer, but when describing problems to their customer service center, instead of try to fix the problem, they try to justify the machine and company! In addition to everything, if you have a problem and call them, you may or may not hear back within three days (I guess it depends on their mood). If the NCDMV wants to force people who have an DWI or DUI to get an interlock system, I'm all for it! The dangers of drinking and driving are not to be taken lightly. But if you are going to enforce a law like this, it is unethical to do so without a device that works! Talk about setting up the people for failure! But hey, that's their job right? Set the people up so you can break their pocketbooks and their attempts to get back on their feet, meanwhile making as much money off the people as you can. So if you want a company to screw you over every which way, then go with Monitech.
