Provided by YP.comMy computer was on the fritz, so I called in to explain what was going on and find out what it might be and get an idea of how much it would cost. They told me it sounded like it could be that my screen went out, and would be around $200 to fix, but there were other, less expensive things it could be too.
So I brought my computer to them on Thursday morning. Thursday afternoon Phillip called me to tell me he needed my password, because he had my computer up and running and needed to see if it was working properly, and he had just forgotten get my password when I dropped it off.
He called me back on Friday (the next afternoon) and told me my computer was fixed and ready for pick up.
Turns out, the cost was about $85 to fix. I don't know much about computers, so they could have easily charged me for an unnecessary repair and I wouldn't have known any better.
Furthermore, Phillip told me WHY the computer had been overheating, and it was something that was my own fault, but I didn't know any better. He could have let me remain ignorant, and would have made more money off of me in the future when I fried another computer component, but he didn't.
Phillip and his wife are honest, hard working people who (I believe) charge fair prices and are very friendly. I spent probably a half hour just chatting after I paid for my repair and received my laptop.

Provided by YP.comOk, so I think I have a pretty good grasp of PCs and how they work since I've built a few and am modding mine regularly. But I recently had a problem with mine the had me pum fluzzled. So being the tinkerer that I am who often spends twice as much $ and twice as much time just to be able to say I did it myself, I was planning on replacing the HD which I had already reformatted twice, before I took it in to a professional. So I stopped by absolute to see if he had a HD in store after going to staples and another computer place. He didn't have a Hard disk drive, but I told him what my PC was doing and instead of telling me to bring it in he told me he thought it was the memory and how to test it. So to make a boring story short, yeah that fixed. Any future PC work I need done will be goint to absolute. Friendly guy, didn't charge me a thing for his advice, he fixed my mom's PC and I think he charged her a fair price. He deserves all five of my stars because there is nothing better than free ACCURATE advice.
