The Arkadelphia Human Development Center is a nonprofit, social service facility been serving the emergency respite care placement needs of individuals since 1968. It can accommodate more than 130 individuals who are diagnosed with mental illnesses and impairments. The Arkadelphia Human Development Center serves individuals above the age of 18 and focuses on community re-entry services. It provides transitional placement for adults who are able to develop vocational skills and obtain employment in secure living and working arrangements. The center participates in the Medicaid Waiver Program, as well as works in partnerships with several community service providers. The Arkadelphia Human Development Center is a part of the Division of Developmental Disabilities Services, a part of the Arkansas Department of Human Services.
