CoolSculpting Success

I recently did CoolSculpting at Riverside Medical and would recommend this practice to anyone looking to give CoolSculpting a try. The consultation was free and I was assessed by the same person that did my treatment. That was reassuring. Joanne was so thorough with her explanation of what I could experience that it really put me at ease. It was exactly as she described. The treatment room is so nice! Big TV, Netflix, snacks and drinks....even wine was offered. Joanne even bought me lunch because I was there over the lunch hours. How nice!

Great practice

My entire family has been going to RSM for over 20 years. We've seen every doctor there and love them all. The staff is so kind, they Treat us well and you can tell that the whole office is like a family. They smile, they look like they enjoy their jobs and it's the kind of place I want for my medical care. I highly recommend Riverside Medical

Very Strange Practice

I have never written a negative review before, but here goes...I was seeing Dr. Nance for years. SHe left the practice with no notice. I was put in with their new doctor, Dr. Fruebauer. My initial impression was good, as she was a nurse prior to her medical degree and wanted to be the type of doctor who cared about their patients. I was scheduled for a sleep study test, which I missed. I was charged $125, which I paid b/c I missed the appointment. They rescheduled the test, which I had to cancel due to a family emergency, but I didn't give them 24 hour notice. So, now they wanted to charge me $250. I refused to pay and was sent a letter that I was no longer welcomed as a patient at Riverside Medical. They also sent me to collections. I spoke to their collection agency and explained the whole ordeal. In the end, we compromised on a fee of $75 for canceling my appointment the morning of my appt. SO this is what I don't understand...why do they charge $250 for a cancellation but will take $75? Where do they come off charging so much for missing an appointment when there was a fully sufficient reason behind the cancellation the morning of my appointment. I was that patient who never complained about anything regarding their office or doctors. Nor had I not paid my bills up to now. This brings me to Dr. Fruebauer. She had signed the letter which stated that I would not be seen at Riverside Medical again. So, I thought she wanted to make a difference in caring for her patients, but evidently not.Maybe she could have called me and been the type of Dr. who really cared and this could have been resolved easily, and without me having to find a new Dr. so I could continue on my medication (daily)If your anything like me you dont relish the idea of finding another Dr.so dont EVER TRY TO PROVE A POINT TO THEM YOU TOO WILL BE KICKED OUT.I am still very disappointed with my experience with this office.

Kudos to the Riverside Medical Clinic in Arlington Heights, IL (with one not insignificant crtique)

The Riverside Clinic is the face of the future for how medicine in the USA ought to be practiced. The emphasis is on prevention, and seeing as many patients as possible. They do what they do and they do it very well. Efficient (one patient every 90 seconds on busy days) courteous, plenty of staff (apx 10 MD's plus 2 PA's plus a bevy of nurses, technicians, and support and staff. Everybody is busy, somebody is always there to see you within the next two minutes. My one criticism is the same one that I have of American medicine in general: if your numbers are out of line, their first response is to write a script, and this one seriously defective way to practice medicine. All the pills ever do is mask the symptoms, and just because the symptoms vanish, this in no way means that the patient has been cured. A more holistic approach is needed, but for the present, this is as good as it gets.
