Horrible, keep looking.

I hired the company to install 3 recess lites in my kitchen, under the cabinet puck lites and change one box over my island to two boxes for pendant lites. Also to install boxes for ceiling fans with seperate switches in 2 bedrooms. He (Tom) arrived at my house 1 and 1/2 hr late, and get this he forgot his tools. Thank goodness I had a drill, he wanted to go back home a hour away. He then proceeded to tell me he had to tear off my countertop back splash to run the wires. When I asked why he could not drill through the wall above the back splash and run the wires. he simply replied he couldn't. He then had to run to the store because he brought the wrong kind of recess lites. It took an1 and 1/2, now this I didn't understand because the store is 15 minutes away. He returned, again with a wrong item and had to go back. After he started cleaning up early to leave, I wondered did I want him to do my lite over the island or my ceiling fan boxes? Why didn't I follow my gut feeling? He cut a huge section out of my ceiling to install the boxes for the pendant lites, where he had five lives wires runnung into one box, then got snotty when I asked him about it. He proceeded to tell me he can not hang my lites because they would damage the mud he use to fix the section of drywall he cut. I asked how am I suppose to know what wires to use to hang them, with there being so many up there? After a heated argument and My fan being used to help dry the mud while he worked upstairs he agreed to hang them. He didn't even put in the seperate switches for the fans that clearly was on the contract. After another heated argument and a review of the contract his reply was "well I wrote it wrong". I said just take $75 off the contact amount, he said $35. I paid the full price of the contract, I just wanted him out of my house. He did offer to put the switches in but he would have had to go to the store to get them, he didn't bring any. He didn't even reread the contract before he came to the house to bring what he was suppose to be installing, but then again he did forget his tools. I had to hire a painter to repair the section of the ceiling and the wall behind the backsplash he damaged. Don't put yourselves through this, find another company.
