I guess its true that people only write reviews when they're not satisfied. One day a salesman approached me . His name was Al. He told me that he worked for National Exterior and said there was recently a collection of storms that was in my area. In short he told me that contractors would be hired to repair some damage on my roof, gutters, windows, and siding, if my insurance approved his claim. I told him that there were several places in my house where my roof was leaking, most likely from hail and weather damage. He told me he would help get the claim through. So I said sure why not. I was a bit hesitant at first but the claim was indeed approved. Within a timely matter (approx. 4 weeks) my roof shingles were replaced and my gutters were also replaced. I'm very satisfied with the outcome.

They did more than I expected to do. Outstanding service that did everything for a low price. I don't understand how these other people could say stuff like this about the company. Use National Exteriors!

All I had to do was say okay and my roof was replaced with little effort from me. No issues with the roof, it's been a year now...

I 100% agree with what Jon G had Tammy had to say. Just a few minutes back I received a Lein against my house from the siding materials supply company. Apparently, National Exterior didn't pay them yet.
They originally did a very poor job on the roof. I insisted that I would not pay them if they don't redo the work. After 1 1/2 years they replaced the roof again -- after 3 tries and 3 roofing contractors. The person who sells the roof that Jon G was mentioning, who leaves the country is Sam. The sales lady, sunny Hong, who sells has her own company, "Homer Construction Illinois Corp." Sunny Hong, sub contracts from National Exterior and works for commission. The random person Jon G was mentioning, probably is Joseph. Joseph is a liar and a cheat. He does not follow through on his promises.
Overall a terrible experience. What should have taken 2 days to do the roof and siding, took us 1.5 years....
These cheats should not be doing business at all. They lie and cheat. On top of it, they do not know what they are doing. The subcontractors do the job. Some of the subcontractors should not be in business either. If you get a good subcontractor you are lucky otherwise you are screwed. National Exterior has ZERO control over the subcontractors. They are yet to pickup the debris from the property. The subcontractors told me it is the problem of National Exteriors and National Exteriors are telling me that the subcontractors should have done it.
Overall a "Z-" grade. Will never ever recommend them. The business model is wrong. And one of the partner has gone to South Korea and another partner does not respond to text or phone calls.

Im shocked by the two bad reviews. My friends and I have experienced nothing but the utmost care and professionalism by this company.

We had our roof, siding and gutters replaced by National exteriors inc supposedly located in Arlington Heights, IL. I was reluctant at first to trust a door to door salesman but I decided to take a risk. They did do an average job on my property. There is almost Zero!! communication with the person in charge. The person who initially sold us the roof suddenly had to leave the country and we could communicate with him on viber. This was only temporary until the communication was cut off. Then a random person called me asking for the second check from my insurance company which I have no control over and he was kind of rude at first. There were some subtleties which I requested to be addressed but once they got their check it was radio silence. Never received a final bill of sale! At once time I had a notice of a lien sent to my address because the supply company did not get paid on time. I requested a standard lien waiver which never appeared. I will say that we haven't had any issues with the work that was already done but I feel like they do the ole' bait and switch once they get their money. I wouldn't have written all this if they would just communicate with me.

I had a roof siding & gutters done this past july. My roof was less than a month old & had a leak. A leak so bad i now have to gave ny bathroom walls fixed. Now 6 months later my new gutters literally fell off the front of my house. I did all my homework. They were licensed. Had a good record with the better business bureau. Good reviews. All b.s.!! No matter what you do people can always dupe you. I am in the process of trying to get my money back if I can find them. Whatever you do don't use national exteriors!!!
