During my mother's stay at Meadowbrook Memory Care Center in Arlington, doctor Ferguson was referred by the facility to be her primary doctor. Following a hip fracture, she returned from a rehab facility on May 31, 2014 and a visit from doctor Ferguson was requested immediately and all the proper forms and paperwork filled out to make sure he knew the facility and the family wanted him to see her ASAP. Follow up emails and calls were made on multiple occasions to both the facility and to Dr. Ferguson's office but my mother was not seen once in the following 7 weeks. Because of the poor health care provided, we moved her to another facility. My mother was suffering from a C. Diff infection during that 7 week period but Dr. Ferguson never showed up to examine her or sent anyone in his place. He never ordered any tests for her condition although chronic diarrhea had been reported to him on multiple occasions. Upon moving my mother to another facility, I was informed by Meadowbrook's director that they were no longer making referrals to Dr. Ferguson because he failed to show up repeatedly. I strongly advise you not to trust your care or a loved one's care to Dr. Ferguson. The lack of care my mother received has been very detrimental to her health. She is currently hospitalized and being treated for the C. Diff infection he never diagnosed or treated. Knowing that she had just recently had surgery, he could have at least prescribed the proper treatment for C. Diff as a precaution since her symptoms indicated that she was suffering from such an infection.
