Provided by SuperpagesThe Bowen Rd. site is a Great example of a family diner! Super breakfasts. Vegetables always cook fresh and properly, terrific hamburgers; PASTRIES OUTSTANDING.... best pies I have seen anywhere in Metroplex. Service is terrific... take time to visit with them. I have read some negative reviews... don't know where these people ate, but choosing eggs benedict in a diner??? Can't speak for the other Jay Jay sites (don't eat there), but the Bowen establishment is a long-time family favorite!

Provided by SuperpagesHad lunch at Jay Jay on Fielder. Service was good. I ordered catfish, turnips and cold slaw. The cold slaw was excellent. The catfish was horrible, imported most likely from Vietnam, was fishy smelling, tough and very thin. Not real catfish by any means.

Provided by YP.comMy family ate at Jay Jays on 7-17-2012 in SW Arlington and it was a bad experience. The service was poor and the floors were horribly dirty like they had never been cleaned. The waitress brought our meal and one order was partially wrong and the other was the wrong item. We did not complain as we switched meals between us. I ordered meatloaf which was below average and the last bite at the end had foil baked in the end. I gave this to a guy that asked how everything was and I showed him the foil encrusted end. He said he would take this to the manager and that was the last we saw of him. On our way out there was a large tray of pies in the open air where any kid could go right up to the pies and touch them or be in the line of fire for a sneeze or cough. When we got our check the cashier asked how our meal was and I said less than good. After about 15 seconds he asked what was wrong and I told him everything that was wrong. He said sorry and did not offer to tell anyone or give me a discount on the meatloaf. Needless to say this will be our last visit to this place. We sure do miss Khakis which used to be in the same location.
