I have taken my pants and dresses to JC for years. I did not ever have a problem until recently when the pants that I took in and paid $17 to have hemmed were still draping under the boots that I had worn when having them measured...they were so long that I was stepping on the back of them still and they were under my boot heel. I took them back and let her know that they were still way too long. She measured them and then said that she would just charge half price to do them this time. I explained to her that I had already paid to have them hemmed and they were not done at the agreed upon length. At this time, the owner became agitated and angry with me. She stated that she had to work twice and I just wanted it for free. I explained to her that they were not done right the first time, so I did not feel that it was right for me to have to pay again. After being a loyal customer for many years and never having any prior problems, I could not believe how rude and disrespectful she was. They are very expensive to begin with, but for her to try to charge me $25 to hem pants that were not done right, was ridiculous. A good business is one that treats their customers respectfully and tries to correct problems without treating the customer poorly...if that is what you are looking for, DO NOT go to JC. I do not recommend them to any friends or family anymore.
