I have been to the Kandy shop simply to get a cheap tattoo or body piercing.the first time I went I had a very good artist named Scorpio.. He did a lily in the top center of my back below my neck. The next time I came back to see him and him only when they first opened he was basically the only good artist there so I got a geisha lilies around. Now I'm not going to lie its a wonderful tattoo but he just printed both my first tattoo and second tattoo right off the computer. Unlike some tattoo artists they will draw you something up but no most of them do this. The this time was my worst tattoo I have on my back known as the "trap stamp" I wanted a cupcake with candy around it. The person I would have gone to was running late and told me this person was so called as good as him but no he mixed the colors up on what I wanted the icing to be and the wrapper to be. Now looking at it from around the first year I got the tattoo which was years back, the cupcake is so uneven it's laughable not only that but I thought he was going to add candy. Nope no candy,then I wanted words to go under it but he did my cupcake so big it really and truly looks like an ice cream cone but that's not the worst part he wrote the words I wanted to the side in his own hand writing (which was sloppy then he'll) and tattooed his writing on me lol even spelled the word wrong after myself and other told him how to spell "scrumptious" he still didn't do it write.
Now go to places that I look at the work they have done previously then I decide if I'm going to get a tattoo from said person and yes it might cost me more but at least there done right.

If I could submit this review without placing a star I would! Went there 30 min ago to get my Tragus pierced n this dude pierced it with a piercing gun instead of a needle n left an earring that had a stud backing to it! I google to see the tragus piercing procedure what they use n my piercing was all wrong! Do not go to the Kandy Shop please!! Idk about the tattoos but the piercings is definitely not correctly done!

I been getting piercings and tattoos from the Kandy Shop from their old location, to their Dallas location, and back to their newest location in Arlington, Tx! They have been growing as a tattoo shop and as a business altogether ! They have never failed at doing what their clients expects of them and their prices are ALWAYS reasonable! along with excellent quality of course & GREAT deals you just cannot beat! I recommend the Kandy Shop for anyone who wants to experience getting a tattoo or piercing, rather it's your first time or you want something fixed .. THEY CAN DEFINITELY DO IT ! Kandy Shop is the place to go in the DWF metroplex !

I went in to get my first tattoo at The Kandy Shop on my arm anyone who know me they know I DONT LIKE NEEDLES. I walked in did my paper work looked at pictures of what I wanted. From the time I sat down in the chair til the time I walked out I felt so comfortable they took care of me. And I have been back serval times after still the same feeling I would recommend to anyone to go to the Kandy Shop.

I've been here 3 times and honestly I will not go anywhere else ever! The piercings are fast and the piercer is so nice and easy to conversations with. I haven't got a tattoo here yet but I've seen the work and it's beautiful. The place is always clean! My new place!

Just got a tat done by og poppy 11/21/15....wow I don't know what I did to deserve this ... I brought in an original drawing and I got a horrible free handed outcome --- very disappointed and this was my 4th time going. My first two were great but different artists. Never shamed the shop or did anything g bad to these ppl but yeah "you get what you paid for" (lesson learned)

When I arrived, i had to wait for a heavy Hispanic woman to finish her story about her baby did not have food the day before and drinking only water and cereal in a bottle before i got checked in. But her man gave her some money and they will have "hella" groceries during my tattoo i expressed that it was very painful (not my first tattoo ). 3 months later it is itchy, swollen and bumpy. I see another artist who informed me that og poppy dug too deep and now I'm getting scar tissue..... you get what you pay for. I was told it cost $30 for a tattoo artist just to open a new kit so cheap tattoos probably aren't clean ones!

On Facebook it says they were having specials and to arrive early. I arrived early and was told a 1-2 hour wait. Front desk boy was dry and a dirtbag. Drove 30 minutes there. Waited an hour. No update, no acknowledgement that I was even standing there. I'd rather pay double to get atleast a little customer service. The fb post said nothing about needing a appointment.

There is nothing better than supporting someone's DREAM. Poppy was working from home saying he was going to open up a shop and start his own business and he did, he is doing an awesome job. Everybody and everything in The Kandy shop is sterile and clean. I've never had an issue with piercings or tattoos.

So I went and got a tattoo to represent my marriage and it is messed one of the letters is also incorrect.... The owner promised to fix but said he could only do it Mondays at noon as if I did not have a real job or something, the artist that did promised to fix it but I cannot reach him. I am incredibly unhappy and will never go back to this shop unless they promise to fix their mistake.

First I'd like to say that OG poppy is so humble and being that he will continue to have success! I've been here 3X and each time the vibe was so relaxing. I went to dollar piecing and got my belly pierced but a week later i had to take it out bc it wasn't healing properly.I figured you get what you pay for so i didn't trip.then i went to get a tattoo and I'm in LOVE with it! The 3rd time i went they had a dj and was packed.i was There 4 hours but didn't mind bc the company was real cool, i even met a couple strippers lol. Overall this is just a good place with good owners!

this is an amazing place!! nice mellow music (oldies) unlike other tattoo shops that just blare rock/metal music. the receptionist luna is a doll, shes very helpful! the place is clean...i got cartoonish pin up girl on my whole forearm DETAIL AND ALL and my artist only charged me $100 for it...while at tattoo place funhouse tattoos charge 100 an hour! kandy shop is cheap but good quality. its not ghetto at all... i guess they just say that only because there a minority shop! which is sad! but best if you come monday though thursday... the weekend is like walmart on black friday!

Stay as far away possible so you dont get stuck with somthing a real tattoo shop can't fix. If you check out there work, you will see that the tattoos are inconsistent, sloppy, and blurry. Not everybody can be a tattoo artist but anybody can do a bad tattoo. If your looking for a good tattoo you wont find there.

Great prices, great tattoos, great environment. All around wonderful service.

The best ever poppy the owner prides himself in his shop and the ppl who work there... Its the best shop in tha dfw its clean above and be on poppy found the best of the best to work with him they do all my tatts everyone is lite handed and super happy ti be there so it make it nice to be there.. Best prices best deal best ppl and the best owner and tha shop girl are cute too so thats a plus.... Must go....

The Kandy Shop is a great place to get Tattoos from, I was told by a customer who had work done by O.G.Poppy and that work was good, i have told many of ppl to go there and check them out. I would give my business to the shop any day of the week
