Highly disappointed in the lack of integrity displayed by this business owner, Mike Howard. He had a 1999 Volkswagen Jetta for sale. When I went to look at the car, I was assured, by Mike, that it had passed state inspection and was a good running car. I did sign an "as is" agreement with the understanding that the car, although older, was in good running condition. I paid $1800. The check engine light came on the very next day and the car's engine began to knock loudly within a week. When I took the car back up to the shop, Mike offered to put a new engine in the car if I paid for it..$400..which leads me to believe that he knew there was a problem with the engine when he sold me the car. I had told Mike that I was on a fixed income and needed the vehicle to transport my disabled son to and from doctor's appt. The fact that he offered me no resolve, either fixing the car or giving me my money back shows me that he lacks the character of a decent person and only cares about making money. I will forever tell anyone who will listen that this man is a heartless crook.
