I cannot recommend highly enough - TOP HAT CHIMNEY SWEEP. They came out and did our dryer vent about two months ago. The wife took my appointment and prayed for provision to cover the cost, since my husband had lost his job, before hanging up with me. He spent a good bit of time cleaning really well and helped us get the dryer venting shaped properly behind the dryer! While he was here my husband had him check our fireplace since we had lived in the house for 10 years and had never had it cleaned but he said we didn't need anything done and if our usage stayed about the same, he didn't think we would need a cleaning for about another 3 years. I have never had such a great experience with a repair person as I did with them. They kind of restored my hope that there are good repair people still out there. ;-)

BTW, did I mention that they were absolutely WONDERFUL? ;-)

I just got off the phone with Bonnie and am going to inspect my chimney myself this evening to see if it needs cleaned. Bonnie explained to me how to do it. Can't ask for more than that as the first place I called was trying to schedule me before they even knew what I was asking for!

I was calling around getting estimates for chimney cleaning, most of the people were very nice and gave me the information I was asking for. Then I called Top Hat Chimney Sweeps and spoke to the most wonderful person named Bonnie. Instead of just giving me the price I had asked for, she realized that I wasn't very knowledgeable on the subject. So she started asking me questions, trying to figure out exactly what our problem was. She told me how to check to see if we even needed a cleaning, even gave me some very useful tips on building a good fire! She was more concerned with us getting an affordable solution to our problem (which most people really need right now), than the all mighty dollar. This is an unfortunate rarity anymore, someone who really cares about her felllow man. A TRULY GOOD PERSON! Because of her genuine kindness, there will never be another company that we will use for chimney services. I will be telling everyone I can about Bonnie's wonderful nature in hopes that word of mouth will send Top Hat Chimney Sweeps business for years to come!
