The National Association of Chain Drug Stores, founded in 1933, represents more than 30,000 retail chain pharmacies and suppliers worldwide. It provides a forum for retailers to interact with their suppliers and business partners. It also publishes a variety of online and print materials that provide information on health and community events, resource guides, pharmacy issues, listing of related industry organizations, state boards of pharmacy and pharmacy schools. The association also undertakes annual meetings, conferences and special events, and develops and promotes policies and programs to improve merchandise distribution and retail operations efficiency.
