National Defense Industrial Association, founded in 1997 and located in Arlington, Va., is a nonpartisan, nonprofit educational association. It is a partnership between industry and the United States government, and promotes growth, innovation, and technological development for the defense industry. The organization s membership includes more than 1,000 corporations and over 36,000 individuals. National Defense Industrial Association has various subsidiaries, such as the National Training and Simulation Association, Association for Enterprise Integration, and Precision Strike Association. Its subsidiaries also include Women In Defense and National Correlation Working Group. National Defense Industrial Association also offers various annual symposiums and exhibitions, and publishes the National Defense Magazine, a leading publication reporting on market trends, scientific developments, and military programs.
