I visited Ray's on a Friday night, and was VERY glad that we had reservations - the place was packed. Despite the number of people it was very easy to have a conversation over dinner, however - it wasn't at all loud. I had the bacon and bleu cheese salad as a starter, which was excellent, and my dinner companions raved about the crab bisque. The steaks were perfect, and the wine menu excellent. I'm a stickler for service, and I have to give kudos to the staff - efficient, friendly, and very helpful. I'll definitely be back.

A fine dining experience is not only about the food. Ambience and service weigh heavily into the equasion. Last night my experience at Ray's the Steaks was a total disappointment! When I arrived I was told that my party of 10 would not be seated until EVERYONE arrived. With no forwarning of this policy (when the reservation was taken) a protest, as to

this poor customer service was made, first to a snippy hostess, then the manager and finally the owner resulted in being asked to leave. Imagine! Further Ms. Snip noted that Ray's does not have customers but guests. Alas, 10 uninvited and ones it seemed! We found another restaurant where we were treated like welcomed customers and not unintived guests. Farewell Ray's!

VISITED THE NEW LOCATION OF RAY'S AND HAD A TERRIBLE DINING EXPERIENCE. OUT OF 5 STEAKS, 3 HAD TO GO BACK 3 TIMES TO BE COOKED CORRECTLY. THEY OBVIOUSLY NEED AND NEW CHEF, MANAGER AND MEAT THERMOMETOR!
