we had a dead plug. Arnold Elec came out and rectified the problem, but said we needed a new electrical box. We paid him for the services. He gave us an estimate of over $2000.00 for the new box. They said they would do the work at the end of summer and would pull the permit, They had trouble getting a permit, I called and it was cleared up. We spoke to different builders our electric box, and they all were perplexed for the need We got a second opinion and, and said there was no need to change the box. We contacted Arnold Electric and informed him that we would not need his service. He became indignant and said he put time in to get the permit and we would need to pay him. We asked him to send a bill. We were shocked to receive a bill for $700.00!! The permit was $166. the rest was his travel time getting the permit. Someone who is so busy likely have many trips to get permits and there was so need to make a special trip for our permit.
