Founded in 1974, Severn River Middle School serves more than 800 students in grades six through eight. It is a part of Anne Arundel County Public Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. Severn River Middle School s academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as math, science, social studies, English and language arts. It also offers a variety of extracurricular programs in art, music, dance, and health and physical education. In addition, the school offers sessions in world languages and media and technology education. Severn River Middle School also provides the English for Speakers of Other Languages program. It conducts sessions in special education and provides medical care, speech therapy, and guidance and counseling services. The school is located in Arnold, Md.
