It is no wonder that INDIA SARI PALACE has become a By-word for saris and related lines in United States, since 1971. Although a landmark among Indian Businesses in USA since its inception in 1971, India Sari Palace is far from being just a local company. With its four branches across USA, it is a subsidiary of an International Organization with its headquarters in Dubai and having number of stores & offices in Germany, Canada & Japan The original company was founded in Hong Kong under the name of India Emporium Ltd by Mr.Manghanmal Hiranand in the early 30's. Over a period of years it has developed into one of the largest retail business concerns overseas dealing in saris, etc. Fifty two years ago-July 1956-our parent company India Emporium Ltd, Hong Kong introduced the first synthetic sari to the world. Synthetic fabric for sari was first manufactured by Toray Industries, Japan in 1956 when we bought their first trail weave of 500 yards. This history making decision, coupled with the group's vision of enterprise has seen total synthetic sari market grow, at one point of time, to five million yards a month out of Japan, though now this export has gone down due to technical know-how being available in India to produce just the same. However we feel extremely proud to be the pioneer when one looks at the monumental progress in this direction from the point of view of employment this has created and sheer volume it generates in India and now to lesser degree in Japan. To-day, India Sari Palace is proud to be the part of such well-known network, and has the valuable advantage of sharing the experience and know-how of its principals, India Emporium. Having a good understanding with the leading textile mills in Japan, coupled with the group's strength, helps them in selecting their own prints and qualities, thus establishing a mark of exclusivity and quality for which they are rightly famous. ISP is committed to strong feeling of involvement with the Indian community in the USA and have contributed by organizing Essay Contests, Children's Film Shows', Painting Competition for Indian Youths' in the USA., and now encouraging writers to write for common good. Besides ofcourse, being involved with numerous charitable and social causes. After 37 years in business and having close relationship with our customers and community members we are now ready to look forward to serve 3rd generation Indians in America.
