RUN do not walk to King Daddy's Chicken and Waffles in West Asheville. It is so amazingly good. EVERYTHING was incredible. The staff is fantastic and very attentive. The owners are the nicest people and very generous to the local community. For appetizers we ate the Zucchini Cakes, Sweet Potato Hush Puppies (pour some blueberry jam on it - trust me) and my husband had the Poutine. I had the Korean Fried chicken (crispy fried and tossed with ginger soy sauce, served with pickled radish) with pumpkin waffles and it was beyond amazing. My husband had the Habanero Sweet Potato chicken - it was delicious, but the Korean is the best!!!! Our kids ate yummy fried chicken and waffles. They insisted on getting bacon on the side - big thick pieces. Our daughter is Gluten Free and she loved her GF friend chicken and waffle. Just give them a heads up because it takes a little longer than the rest of the food. King Daddy's doesn't claim to be Gluten Free, just Gluten Less, but she did not have any reactions. We were so beyond full, even with leftovers, so we didn't have a chance to try dessert. What a wonderful addition to the restaurant scene in Asheville!!!!
