Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of recovering alcoholics who meet and share experience, strength, and hope; and who want help in overcoming drinking problems. There are no dues or fees for membership. The office answers inquiries about AA, provides a monthly newsletter, and sells literature, chips, and medallions. Meeting locations and times are available by calling the office. There are more than 350 meetings per week in Western North Carolina. After attending a meeting, a member can be connected with a contact person who will call, support, encourage, and possibly accompany them to AA meetings. The Office is open from 10:00am-1:00pm, Monday through Friday. There are volunteers and an answering service that answers calls after hours and on the weekends. Help is available 24/7.
