Provided by YP.comI have been going to this medical groups office over 12 yrs and it has progressively gotten worse. I would like to find a better place but I really think that their attitude towards their patients is the same everywhere. Doctors don't care anymore for the people they treat. It is all about numbers of people and money. I had to cancel my last appointment and I have not been back for a few months and the doctor that I thought really cared about me has not even called to find out where I have been or missed me. I just saw in the paper today an ad saying they are accepting new patients. Wow.... don't care for the ones they already have and are wanting more......
Also, this past time I had a mix up with the insurance and they would not pay for a healthy test that they had always in the past paid. This group had just been purchased by Park Ridge Hospital. So the rules changed on me without notice. No one at the group was even at all willing to help me figure out the problem. I called the hospital and the lady took care of it right away. Parkway group makes it really hard to get a hold of their billing office. So when I spoke to my regular Dr about this she said "I would have to clear all procedures with my insurance if .....(I wanted to make sure they would cover it)". Like I Know all the technical language and terms and correct names for what the doctor's prescribe for their so called practice on me. I have had a really bad feeling about this group since the first doctor I went to. She only wanted to prescribe antidepressants for me. I do not think everyone on the planet needs antidepressants but the doctors think so. I switched doctors and have stayed with this one for some years. I do need to lose weight and I will. I do not need drugs.... I need support. I think if you know in your heart the doctor really cares about you then you can do anything and feel that love? and support. If not there is not any trust and then you really don't care either. Did I say Love? are doctors suppose to love what they do and love and help the patients they serve? Oh... that is just a fantasy I made up. Just my 2 cents worth after seeing the ad in the paper wanting NEW patients. Oh and I forgot. I have gotten better treatment when I go in and see one of the stand by doctors who are taking the daily walk ins. Except for one time. I really wish this part of life was simpler.

Provided by YP.comStaff is generally nice. My biggest issue is actually getting fast call backs for results. For example, I had an ultrasound done on my abdomen at the beginning of the month, and here it is over 3 weeks later and still have not had any contact about my results. When I call, my doctor is out and I was told "I'll leave a message but I have no idea when she will get back with you".
I know doctors need their vacations too, but this is the third time I have tried to either get results back or make an appointment and received this response. I even had to reschedule an appointment the day before I was to be seen because the doctor was not going to be in. It is very frustrating rearranging my schedule with such late notice from their office.
Once you are able to make it to the office, the office staff is really nice.

Provided by YPmobileI have been going to this doctors office for ten years and until the past year have loved it. This past year the front staff has been horrible and the phone nurses totally unhelpful. They refuse to call in a prescription unless I am reseen, I don't have insurance so this makes my visit plus medicine generally around $120+ dollars each visit. I understand protocol but today was one day we had ice everywhere and the phone nurse refused to talk to my doctor for me. Needless to say I will not be going back.
