Provided by YP.comThe worst platos closet I have ever been to. Bought a jacket and had my sick baby with me and was crying and upset so was in a hurry. got it home it had a stain and I realized I was charged more than the tag had labeled. I returned within an hour and they told me they would not give money back. of course I don't want store credit. All the staff were rude and snobby. I took clothes and a brand new coach purse new with tags to sell my bags were not even looked through and they didn't even know what bags were mine and told me they didn't want anything. I am guessing because I was in the day before over the jacket. I've donated clothes to Goodwill in better shape then most of the clothes I seen in the store.. they were faded, holes, stains and I had the same exact VS yoga pants they had in the store I bought them in 2009 when I got pregnant with my first son. and they were missing rhinestones and very faded and priced at 20.00. I would recommend going to greenville sc or Johnson city tn. You will get better service and your items are tagged with your name as well as looked through and they are more picky on what they buy so better selection and pricing.

Provided by YPmobileI hate going to this Plato's Closet. All of the workers are very snobby and the atmosphere is discouraging. I never feel welcomed and the service is terrible. I have sold some of my clothes there before, but this time I was not able to take them myself and so my mother took them. She told me that the girl servicing her was very rude and told her that plato's was not a store for older people, but for high schoolers and 20-something's. I will not be wasting my time in an unfriendly store such as this run by conceited workers who do nothing but give their customers a disgusted look.

Provided by YP.comFirst of all let me just say that I have been to a lot of Plato's Closets, and Asheville is by far my favorite! I have 2 teen girls and ever since our first trip there 2 months ago we barely ever go to the mall. I went online to read reviews just to see what other people think about the store, and sadly only people who were not able to sell their clothing are the only ones writing reviews about this wonderful store. As for my experience, my girls and I have brought things in before and the first few times they were not able to take anything. The girl who went through my items was sweet and professional when she explained why she could not buy anything. After asking questions about the process, they helped us learn what they do and what they look for. I am learning what they like and now they take most of my items when I come in. I also want to note that I have been in the store on a busy saturday and was so impressed by how they worked to keep the store up, go through bags and bags of clothing and still have great customer service! While I can sympathize with the people who feel that their items were unjustly passed on, I understand now that it is not an easy pert of their job, but that they have rules and guidelines to follow. They have a friendly staff and a store full of great stuff. I would tell anyone to go there!

Provided by YP.comI took my clothes in the store today...Im a mother, with a good sense of fashion I think...I took all of mine and my husbands clothes in from american eagle...a name brand store whose stuff isnt cheap. When I came in the girls were but 16 to 18 years old. this is who was basing there opions about my clothes...I watched them as they went thru other customers bags...laughed and snarled there noses at what they thought wasnt 'cool' enough. She took 9 articles of my clothing and offered me $45.40. Do the math that is $5 per article of clothing. I wanted to scream at this girl. I pay $40-$50 per pair of jeans from ae and she took at least 4 pairs of my pants. I was nice and thanked them for there time and said Im sorry I will take my clothes somewhere else...thats when this snobby girl thru my stuff in my basket and perceeded with an attitude! PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE...I took my prior clothes to Deja Vu and made over $100 in the first week!
