This is MUCH better now than the previous review (written in their early days) indicates. It's become our default place to go when we're not specifically in the mood for something else, which is several times a month, almost weekly.

We love the food and drinks, and the service is now top-notch. Yes the menu is a little bit La Paz and a little bit new, but the execution is now excellent, and they've earned our business!

We too were sad to see La Paz go, but frankly their quality was off in their latter days, and I guess the new owners inherited some of those issues, but they have been correctly addressed as far as we're concerned! But don't take our word for it--go see what we mean!

I was dissapointed when I decided to return to what I thought was going to be La Paz Restaurant (which was Awesome) and this new restaurant was in its place. I decided to give it a try.

Basically, it is a complete ripoff of the La Paz restaurant, but with none of the service. The food looks the same and is certainly the same price but was not the same quaity. It wasn't bad per se, but my favorite dish was the BBQ Pork Quesadilla. It is $11.99 and I had no problem paying it. I ordered it the other night and it is still $11.99, but it was no better than a frozen quesadilla you could get at Ingle's. My wife ordered the Queso dip, and it was close, but still not the same.

It is like they kept the La Paz menu, but lost the recepies.

Don't get me wrong, if they cut the price 50% it would be fine, but trying to pass off fast food as gourmet Mexican is a crime. "Zach, from Neo" as the radio says should stick to the burrito stands. He took one of the nicest restaurants in Asheville and turned it into a $20 McBurrito. Soooo sad:(
