Tim has been working on my cars for 12 years. I have never had him misdiagnose or overcharge me for anything. He's been completely above board and I trust him implicitly.

This mechanic (Tim) quoted me $800.00 HIGHER than the national average DEALER PRICE for the repair I needed. I had already diagnosed the problem myself with only a flashlight, but decided to test his honesty and let him TELL US what the problem was. I was shocked to arrive at his shop to discover that he had already done two hours of UNAUTHORIZED LABOR, and had already stripped out several parts of the engine. I then told him that I had reached the same conclusion about the repair by using only a flashlight. At first, he claimed that all the work was necessary to diagnose the problem. But when I questioned his reasoning, he stumbled and stammered and finally admitted that he could have actually diagnosed the problem by just listening to the sound it made while cranking. Hugh? Really? Right now, I'm trying to figure out if I need to file a small claims suit against this shop for the unauthorized labor.
