Provided by YP.comWe had been going to Gordy's for a couple of years and his work was primitive at best but since we required nothing sophisticated it was ok. We bought a few things, traded a few others.
We took in a couple of pair of boots/shoes for Gordy to sell for us. We always split the money with him when something sold.
A few months back we took about 10 pair of boots/shoes for him to sell. It took 3 of us to carry them in from the car. Me, my husband and the woman that works for Gordy.
Gordy commented on how nice they were, that he knew he could sell them and that one pair of boots were worth about $200.
We would stop in occasionally to see if anything had sold and we were always told no but he had our number.
Finally last week we stopped in to pick up all the items as they had not sold and we didn't want to leave them there any longer.
Guess what we were given? 3 pair. That's all. 3 pair and yes, you guessed it. The very expensive boots were not among them.
all of a sudden Gordy and this woman developed amnesia and said that they did not remember any expensive boots and that this was all we had brought in.
As we walked out the door I told my husband that he had just gotten (expletive deleted)
Shame on us for not getting a receipt or taking a photo or having him sign something. But we trusted the guy. Again, shame on us.
But more the shame on Gordy for what he has done. All we can say is do not trust this shop keeper with anything. He is not a man of his word and cannot be trusted. We will certainly never patronize him again and we will tell everyone we know to stay clear of his shop.
It is very sad when a bit of money is worth more than your integrity. Shame on you Gordy. You know exactly what you have done.
