Provided by YP.comcontacted this company and 2 others based on reviews I read. I chose Paul of Ashes Away because I felt he was not trying to sell me more than I needed. One company wanted to completely tear down my chimney new everything, the other told me it needed new liners and a great deal of masonry work. Their prices were out of sight!
Paul explained that the flues were starting to flake, but were not that bad and that the top section of the chimney should be redone as well as the crown and said he would advise putting on a chimney cap. His quote was well within the prices I found online for the job.
His office called asked if I had a day in mind. How refreshing I was not told a day and I had to work around them. This alone is wonderful as I chose a day when I had no clients booked. The job went off without any issues, it looks fabulous and have told many about Paul. If you are in the Medfield area, call Ashes Away.

Provided by YP.comPaul is the best!
I am in Marlboro and had used another local company that Ultimately was a mistake. The guy from the other company told me I had to tear down all of my chimny. The dudes price was massive. I called around and found Ashes Away. Paul came to my house told me the chimnys base was solid but the top rows needed work and he suggested a cap. The price he quoted me was unreal. That other company was an Ultimate ripoff!!!!! Paul even colored the morter so the color difference is small. That was my wifes thing. Paul is the man, don't bother getting screwed just call him. Provided by YP.comMy husband and I have used several local companies over the years, never found one I truly trusted. I saw the Ashes Away van in my neighborhood. Phoned the number and was pleasantly surprised I did not get an answering service. The office answered my questions and gave me basic pricing and a time slot. When Paul arrived he was early, which in itself was a great surprise. He looked at all my chimney s and to my surprise explained that none needed to be cleaned. This had never happened before, I usually pay for at least 2 cleanings. He showed me a water issue with the chimney that had my furnace. Paul suggested a chimney cap. I discussed with him the fireplace in my husbands office, it gets a terrible draft winters. He gave me various options from stove units to a damper. We chose to install a special damper. What a difference that made last winter and this summer. I will never use another company!

Provided by YP.comThis company was recommended by a co-worker, after hearing the problems I had with roofers and chimeny people . Several problems existed with the chimeny. Other companies both roof and chimeny, suggested corrections that all failed miserably. Odor and leaks continued, my wife said they got worse.
Called Ashes Away spoke to a well informed woman in the office, who was very helpful. I was hesitant as they charge a fee, I had already spent a good deal and nothing was corrected. Paul came to my home accessed the issues, he suggested corrections and explained it may not be an immediate fix. The repairs solved about 90% of the issues. Paul returned as he said he may have to. I can report that for several months now we have a dry chimeny and the odor is gone. Save yourself aggrevation call these people first.
