Andoco Translation started in a research office at Kyoto University to earn beer money while the owner, Mark (nickname Andy), was a grad student. However, it soon evolved into a full-fledged business. Now Andoco Translation not only deals with Japanese translations but we can handle translations in other languages through our worldwide connections in the translation industry.   The most important objective for us is to make our customers feel at ease with working with us. Therefore below is a brief explanation of the how the company started and we have our personal biographies on the site as well. Creating a strong relationship based on trust, and a continuing relationship with our customers, we regard as very important for both parties. Andy went to school years ago and was the roommate of Nick Iliev in Japan when they were on a study abroad program in Osaka, Japan. Nick and Andy soon developed a strong friendship and often did academic projects together during this study abroad. This relationship has continued and this is also the case with Andoco Translation. Our customers may wonder, why translation? We like translation work because we continue to learn our second language (Japanese) and have international interaction when we deal with non-Japanese translations. Having said that we are avid travelers and we are always looking for new business opportunities. Keeping this in mind, since translation is the key to our personal and financial freedom we consider ourselves translators for life. Therefore, we take our work very seriously.
