Having people dependant on methadone is better than them being on heroine but it has a lot of strings attached to it. There needs to be better counseling sessions than the ones that are over redundant to these clients. There should be a qualified social worker or psychologist working there at all times counseling these clients, not just someone they just hired to learn about what the facility does and how to document their so called sessions. The company seems to be more concerned about keeping many clients on methadone without another plan. The supervisors run the facility like a fast food restaurant and treat the clients and staff as expendable mules who play the same comfortably numb lyrics daily. It comes across as a bully tactics that tries to hold on to their clients with the medication they dangle in front of them and punishes who they feel they don't like. Maybe if it was supervised better and they offered better counseling sessions without the pressures of the staff anxiously trying to complete note deadlines all the time, there could be some true compassionate counseling sessions for these clients. If Aegis company really cared about helping people then they would stop trying to make the outside of their business legit and official while the inside is stained with that they are all involved in a heartless scheme.
