Round Island Baptist Church

Round Island Baptist Church was established June 17, 1817, with twelve members who elected Jeremiah Tucker as the first Pastor.The church met five miles south of the present location on Browns Ferry Road until July of 1822 when it moved to the current location where Browns Ferry Road crosses Broyles Creek. In August of 1870 Mt. Pisgah and Round Island united into one body adopting the name Round Island. In September 1916, Round Island Baptist Church hosted the first session of the Limestone County Baptist Association. In the early 1900's additions were made to the main building and in May 1937 a Sunday School expansion was added. A new sancturary building was built in 1957 and an education building was built in 1974. The current sanctuary was completed and opened for Easter Service on April 20th, 2003. As you can see, there have been a lot of changes at RIBC since June of 1817. Whether in old buildings or new, new sanctuary or old, RIBC is GOD's House.
