We are new to the area and last Saturday the toilet in the guest bathroom stopped up. It was about 5 PM and we had 8 guests coming for dinner at 7 PM -- my wife was going crazy. I went next door and asked the neighbor I'd met last week who I could call. He told me he and many of the other neighbors always call one guy - Ricky Akins, owner of Akins Plumbing & Septic.

I called and got a real plumber answering the call - not some answering service. He had a Master Plumber out in about an hour. He fixed the problem and was gone in 30 minutes. Considering it was late Sat afternoon and it was an emergency, the fee was very reasonable - probably less than what a lot of plumbers charge for regular service. We now know who to call for ALL future plumbing issues!

Akins Plumbing sets the bar high for excellence in customer service! One sister, one brother and I have all been calling Ricky Akins for all of our plumbing needs now for 9 years.

Our family has also told many folks about the good service and long lasting fixes Akins Plumbing has given all of us.

I can remember only one small problem about some landscaping damaged, but Ricky quickly took care of that. It is rare to find a home service company that is so consistent in making customers happy!

I first called Akins Plumbing on July 4, 1994. I remember because we were having a big July 4 party during afternoon and evening. Just before the dinner was planned to start, a water pipe on the second floor began to leak. It quickly became a BIG leak. I turned off the water main intake for all water into the house. A friend at the party told me to call Ricky Akins. A live plumber answered and promised to have a licensed plumber and helper to the house within the hour. They arrived in 50 minutes. Within the next hour, the problem was fixed and the water was back on. Ricky saved the party!

Since then we have called Akins Plumbing many times for minor to major jobs. 2 or 3 or those were also emergencies. The plumbers ALWAYS arrived on time, did the job right the first time, cleaned up and gave us a good price. Akins Plumbing has set the standard high for customer service! Dr. Jack Agnew

Our family has called Ricky Akins over the past 14 years for all kinds of plumbing problems. These ranged from a stopped-up toilet to a complete kitchen and bath remodel. Ricky also installed and has maintained a complete septic tank system and a basement waterproofing system. There have been several late-night emergencies, and his emergency plumbers were always arrived and fixed the problem quickly. This included a big water line leak at 3 am Saturday morning.
All of Ricky’s plumbers have proved to be highly qualified, friendly and my wife likes that they clean up good before they leave. Their pricing has always been very fair for the high quality of work done – even when it’s an emergency. We have recommended Akins to many friends and business associates and have never heard back anything negative. We would never think about calling another plumber for a quote.

I had James come last Saturday and he did an excellent job. He was on time, professional, and fixed my problem quickly. I live in a condo so he had to go between units and was very flexible and identified the problem quickly. He also fixed the problem quickly enough for me to get on with my day. Definitely going to use Akins again if needed.

Akins came out the day after we had another plumbing company stand us up. They arrived quickly and were very honest about the problems we were having. I would recommend them to anyone that needed plumbing/septic work done!

This company is unorganized and unprofessional. I called on a Friday to schedule and appointment for the following Wednesday. I was told that I would be called between 8:30-9am to confirm the exact time that the technician would be arriving. I never received a phone call, so when I called around 11am I was told that they were short handed and someone would be calling me later. I didn't receive a phone call until 6:15pm from the technician saying that it would be at least an hour & 1/2 before he could get to my property and said that my job was never put on the schedule for Wednesday. He said he could get out there the following day at 9:30 am & he would call me at 9am to confirm. I never received a call so I called at 10am and tried to follow up with one of the owners, but he was very rude & kept cutting me off when I was trying to find out if anyone was coming out. He told me that I would have to wait & call the office after 10:30am, so I told him that I would take my business elsewhere.

Great company, excellent work! We used them yesterday for a few minor repairs around the house. We ere very hasppy wit hall the work they did. Would def recommenned to anyone lokoing for a reliable and experienced plumber.
