I've had 3 tattoos done here and Mark is great!! He's very honest on what will and will not work due to size. They may seem stubborn due to size requirements but they are correct. Best to be honest upfront than regret it later. All 3 have been ideas I've shown up with and Mark personalized it and made them perfect. I refuse to go anywhere else. I also had them add to and touch up my first tattoo. I love them all... Tattoos and crew!!!

Dae is awesome. He did navel piercings on me and my friend and it was hands-down the absolute best experience I have ever had with a needle in my entire life--I'm completely TERRIFIED of needles and he made me feel comfortable and somehow made it not hurt at all. All my friends have gotten tattoos here as well and none of them have ever had a single complaint--they got awesome designs, the staff is wonderful, and even years later the tattoos look amazing. If I ever get another piercing, it'll be from Dae, and everyone I know would absolutely get another tattoo here. This place is the best!

Haha, American Classic is really a great place, so it's odd to see all the negative reviews. They aren't the friendliest, but at least they're honest. I'd rather someone tell me they couldn't do a piece (whether it's their fault or the customers) than attempt to do it when the artist was not comfortable with the design or scale. They did a great job on my very first and my third tattoo, and I'll most likely go to them again.

Went in to ask about a wrist tattoo, artist told me it would be impossible and needed to be the entire length of my forearm, as letters smaller than an inch were impossible. Needless to say, I got my wrist tattooed elsewhere.

Not entirely sure why there are so many negative reviews about Mark but I've gotten several large pieces from him & I have absolutely no complaints. Sure, he is not afraid to tell you if your original design will not look flattering, but he has been tattooing for quuuiiite a way, I think he knows what he is talking about! Mark is knowledgeable and very talented & my husband & I both refuse to go to anyone else. I would recommend him to anyone!

I went to the place based on a reputation that was apparently gained before the current owner bought it. I wanted to get a zombie tattoo and made it pretty clear what I was looking for. After explaining the tattoo to him he basically told me it was stupid and impossible ( which I later found out to mean he was incapable of drawing and too egocentric to admit it). Terrible experience with this guy. The worst part was watching his employees try to avoid the Napoleonic behavior. Small man with a huge EGO. What an A-HOLE. I will never go back nor will I ever recommend this place to anyone.

Okay... So I got referred by a friend to go to American Classic to get my first tattoo. She referred Mark to me. Well, the first time I went inside, I thought that it was a very nice tattoo parlor and was happy with the service that I received. the guy that I spoke with was EXTREMELY nice but unfortunately I didn't catch his name. Well, because he wasn't the person that I was looking for and apparently the owner (Mark) has to approve every design, he told me to come back in about an hour and a half. I came back and spoke with the same nice guy. He went to go get Mark so that I could speak with him... He was an A******. He was soooo conceited about his knowledge on tattoos and basically didn't want to answer any of my questions. I felt insulted because he made me seem stupid because of all of the questions that I was asking. Of course i'm going to ask a lot of questions... This is my first tattoo. I felt as if he was giving me a way over the top estimate for the design that I wanted because you can sure as heck believe that I went somewhere else and they charged half of what he was wanting to charge me. I would not recommend American Classic as a tattoo parlor to get your tattoo at... At least not from Mark.
