Department of Geology operates under the University of Georgia, and provides various graduate and undergraduate programs. Its academic curriculum includes environmental geoscience, earth processes and environments, earth's history of global change, physical geology, surficial and near-surficial processes, elementary oceanography, volcanoes of the Puna Plateau, exploration of the moon and geology of the national parks.
