About Intelliwave IntelliWave, a local wireless internet service provider ( WISP ) was founded in September of 2002 in Athens, Ohio. Our mission: To provide quality high speed Internet solutions to the underserved regions of Southern Ohio. IntelliWave Today IntelliWave broadcasts high speed Internet from 28 separate tower locations, spanning 5 counties of Southeast Ohio. We continue to add towers as fast as we can install the equipment. IntelliWave offers services that range from residential high speed Internet access for the family to 20 mile regional wireless links for enterprise customers. We provide Wi-Fi service at the local coffeeshops and hotels, and hands on small business customer service. Our customers include families, schools, medical clinics, small businesses, banks, students and property owners. IntelliWave brings hands on solutions to our neighbors in Southeast Ohio. When you talk with an IntelliWave representative, you are speaking with a person just down the road. At IntelliWave we believe that local service still matters! We take great pride in our investment in the future of our region. Lots of people talk about the "digital divide." IntelliWave is building the bridge everyday. We have a highly trained staff of local engineers and customer service representatives delivering an essential service to a population who otherwise would have no access to broadband.
