Provided by YPmobileFigured I would stay local this year for Valentine's Day and take my wife there for dinner. Called that morning and talked to a young lady about the menu and reserved a table. We arrived that evening and stood next to the desk at the entrance for a while. They were busy of course. A curly headed boy stopped and asked us what we needed. I told him we had a table reserved and told him my name. He didn't look at a list or anything and said I have a table in the back. I told him again I had a table reserved but he quickly said it again without caring. I was kind of upset that he didn't care but followed him. He took us out of the main dining area to a room behind the bar. It was freezing in there. It was a typical bar setting with no resemblance of the dining area. He sat us and handed us menus and walked away without saying a word. After we sat there a few minutes he brought another couple in and did the same thing. but with no menus. After 10 minutes the bartender came in there and asked us what we wanted to drink and gave the other couple their menus. After the couple spoke to the bartender they left. Sensing this was not going to go well we left also. If this is how they run the establishment I have no desire to eat here nor recommend it to anyone.

Provided by YPmobileI had a very nice visit at Open Door Cafe. The Owner is very nice and talks to his customers like they are friends. The food is very good and the building is Amazing! I loved my visit and have told several friends the same. we have even had birthday gatherings there where Blair was very cordial to us all.

Provided by YPmobileI have only been to this restaurant once and it took forever to get my food and then I found a huge piece of plastic in my salad where they chopped the ham up but obviously forgot to unwrap it. No thank you to this place.

Provided by YP.comI worked here before. The food is excellent, a little pricey, but good. The atmosphere is nice. The building is amazing.
The owners and how they treat their employees, HORRIBLE. Half my tips were taken, taxes were taking out without a w2 and the hourly wage was $2.15, yet for two weeks working roughly 30 hours a week, sometimes seven days a week, they would always managed to be around $60?
Food is good, but don't give them your money. You can find better food for a better price and better people to give your money to somewhere else.

Provided by YP.comOk, i have been here, and the food is fairly good and the atmosphere is kinda unique, but there is a big reason i disapprove of this place to everyone, especially someone trying to get a job here. My fiance works here and continues to work even though the business manager doesn't pay her sometimes. She works really hard some nights (weekends) when its super busy and makes big money in tips, but if the business is hurting in profit, then the manager has decided many times not to pay her workers their tips. So they make $2.15 an hour. How horrible... I have tried to convince her to quit but she has bills and her student loans and is afraid she will not get another job. There are other workers there in worse predicaments, some have kids. I know this is just one big complaint, but i hope someone reads this and looks more into it and i hope it gives someone looking for a job here a little true info about this place.
