Family Business Third Generation The Adams Farm Slaughterhouse is a third generation meat processor and retail establishment that occupies approximately six acres of the 128 acre Adams Farm located at 854 Bearsden Road, MA 01331 Athol The slaughterhouse is owned and operated by Beverly Mundell, her son Richard Adams and her daughter Noreen Heath. Beverly also has ten grandchildren who work in the business in a variety of capacities. In 1946, Lewis Adams, the son of Hester Adams who purchased the farm in 1919, opened the first slaughterhouse on the property. In 1955, Beverly Mundell married Lewis Adams and began her career in the meat processing business. In 1972, the Adams family constructed a new meat processing plant to adhere to the then current USDA standards, but suddenly and unexpectedly this facility was destroyed by fire on December 19, 2006. After months of hard work and determination, the family was able to obtain the necessary financing to construct a new state-of-the-art, USDA inspected, Halal certified 13, 800 square foot meat processing plant and retail store to meet the growing demand in the Northeast United States.

Excellent service. We have been taking our pigs to Adams every week since 2009. They do an excellent job. We extremely pleased with everything from slaughter to meat cutting to sausage to smoking. Highly recommended.
