We had a excellent experience with this cab company for several trips over the past couple of weeks in the Decatur area for our senior family member that does not drive. They were on time every time with pickup. We tried to get Checker to pick us up and they left us waiting for several hours and then said they did not have a driver. We called quite a few cab company in the yellow pages in the Decatur area before finding and calling Atlanta Yellow Cab of Georgia, as most were out of business due to covid or did not return our calls. You are in good hands with Ebiye Ogoun's Atlanta Yellow Cab of Georgia.

I was cut off in traffic by Yellow Cab number 0562, tag number TX709A at approximately 5:37 pm on 9/14/15 at the intersection of Lawrenceville Highway and Northlake Parkway. The driver was reckless cutting in front of me as I crossed the Lawrenceville Highway. When I honked my horn, the cab slowed down in an aggressive matter and would not keep up with traffic.

This was a total waste of time. I reserved a car an hour before needed only to receive an app notification stating my driver picked up another passenger. So I call to find out about getting another car to which I'm told a manual request was submitted. 30 minutes later still no cab. I called and was told they are still trying to find me an available driver. Really?!! What was the point of reserving? Don't bother with taxi chain!!

Atlanta taxi cab is the best cab service that I have ever used. Each and every time my experience with them have been excellent! They are always on time (which is very important to me) and their prices are always reasonable. I find consistency and reliability crucial, hence they are my number one choice whenever I need a taxi!

If you live in Dunwoody, forget Yellow Cab.



I had requested a cab in advance for an early Monday morning flight, and when I called Monday morning to double-check, they told me that they had no cabs available. They said this without any hint of apology, or politeness for that matter. So, if I had not called, I would have been left waiting,and I would have missed my flight.



Come to think about it, forget Yellow Cab altogether. There are plenty of other cab companies in the area (including the one that came to pick me up with no advance notice that fateful Monday).

I work at a business in Midtow...

I work at a business in Midtown and called Yellow Cab for a client that was leaving my establishment. The woman who answered the phone said, "This is Yellow Cab _____." I said is this Yellow Cab of Atlanta? To which instead of answering my question she responded with an attitude and repeated the same thing I could not understand initially. I asked her what does that mean and finally she said yes it's Atlanta. When I told her I needed to book a cap she started to get my client's information and then put me on hold because the other phone was ringing. I hung up. There are plenty of other cab companies in the city. I do not need to give Yellow Cab my client's business.

Great drivers and rapid servic...

Great drivers and rapid services. I enjoyed riding with this guys all the time. You just have to give them time to get there especially during the weekends. And one more thing: they will go outside the box sometimes to help you out.

Gotta give it up for my cab driver I had too many beers at apple bees and could not remember the address of the hotel I was staying at and had to describe it he knew the place and we were on the way riding in the back made me sick I asked to pull over fast he did I was sick he waited calmly for me to feel better and then delivered me to my room. GREAT GUY thanks.

2 HOUR PICK UP... 20 minute commitment?

Sad to say, Yellow Cab is in the business of NOT honoring pick up time commitments. On 4.16.11 I placed a call to Yellow Cab and requested pick up around 1:00pm. When asked pick up time the dispatcher replied 20 minutes. The driver did not show up until 3:05 or so (2 hours from call placed). As a result, I missed my appointment, which happened to be a job interview! When asked how and why this happened. The dispatcher replied we are busy and that 20 minutes is their average pick up time? It seems that if Yellow Cab is too busy to honor pick up time commitment (20 minutes). Common courtesy to the client would be to mention that they are too busy to make the 20 minute commitment? That way the client could simply call another cab company versus miss critical appointments? Pretty simple right! When I asked the driver what kind of discount could he give based on showing up an hour and 40 minutes late? He suggested that I call management. When I called management, I discovered that they are not open on the weekend? Quite convenient right!

unbelievably rude operator

I called to schedule a cab in twenty minutes. Apparently this request offended the phone operator who told me in the angriest available tone that I had to call exactly when I was ready. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was informed that I was talking to the manager and promptly hung up on. I will never use them again and nobody else should.

Worst service ever

As a resident of Atlanta and a consistent user of taxi companies in the area, I would like to say that Yellow Cab is one of the worst companies I have ever encountered. I have consistently waited for over an hour for pickup and almost always receive rude service when I am finally picked up. Additionally, their drivers charge more than any other company in the city. I would definitely recommend Checker Cab for your Atlanta transportation needs (404) 351-1111

Waited over an hour

I waited for over an hour for a Yellow Cab to pick me up. When I called the company to complain, they informed me that it was their policy to pick up people who waved them down, even it meant leaving someone who had called ahead and reserved them for pick up. If you call ahead and the cab coming to pick you up decides to put you up decides to pick up another party before you, you are moved to the end of the queue and have to wait for another cab to be sent out to pick you up. I would definitely recommend calling Checker Cab (404) 351-1111

Horrible Attitude and DOUBLE charged!!!

I recently took a short cab ride from a MARTA station to East Atlanta. The window has the Mastercard logo on the window, and I had a Mastercard I was going to pay with, so I figured it wasn't a problem. WRONG!!!



I handed the driver my credit card, and she sighed and asked me if I had cash. I said no. She asked if there was someone I could call who could get me some money. I couldn't believe this!! I was paying with a credit card, and she started to give me a LOT of attitude because she now had to call the card in (FYI, I visit and travel often, and Atlanta always seems to be last place in terms of taxi customer service). She's hemming and hawing and complaining, and telling me that I needed to call Atlanta Yellow Cab to let them know I will be using a credit card before I even get into a taxicab. I could not believe this! I just got in the cab because it was parked at the taxi stand at the station. Who thinks to call in, and what cab company has such a DUMB policy?? She called in the card, I still gave her a tip (what can I say, i'm nice), and went about my way. I reported her immediately to Yellow Cab.



Now I go to check my bank account, and find out I've been charged TWICE for that fare! I called back Yellow Cab and they said they have no record of my earlier complaint! Now I have to get that straightened out.



I will never, ever, ever, ever, EVER take Atlanta Yellow Cab of Georgia again.

I forgot my cell phone on the taxi and ASSESA EAREGAWI (the taxi driver) was such a great person,very kind, return my call and brought me the cell phone back to the hotel (very honest, Exelent Service!!

TERRIBLE SERVICE + RUDE DRIVERS

I travel a lot and take cabs to and from a lot of different places, but the Atlanta Yellow Cab I took from the airport once to a friend's house was the worst cab experience I've ever had. For starters, while there are flat fees to Downtown, Midtown and Buckhead, the drivers don't seem to know where else to go besides those general locales. I asked to be taken to the West End, and when I got in, the cab driver went about 10 yards before stopping and kicking me out of the cab, saying he doesn't go to that "bad Black neighborhood". Even after giving him specific directions, he refused my fare and took another couple to their location instead. I am in the local hospitality industry, and I will never use this service or recommend it to clients. Absolutely HORRIBLE!
