One of the hidden gems of Atlanta (that's not so hidden anymore). It sits right along the Chattahoochee River and has an amazing garden and patio area. There is an outdoor bar right along the river, make sure to get there early and have a drink along the 'hooch and sit in one of the Adirondacks. For dinner, you really can't go wrong with anything on the seasonal menu, but they specialize in fish and game. The rabbit is to die for-its been on their menu consistently since they opened. The service is impeccable, and the waiters know the menu well and can make recommendations if you are undecided. The excellent food, ambiance, and service really can't be beat. Ps-got the popcorn ice cream sundae for dessert-popcorn will not be sorry! So good!

Attended a work team celebration here. Definitely a special occasions place. Very, very upscale. Get there early because the parking area is small. Loved the Char fish dish, very similar to salmon. Ventured on the wild side and tried the octopus and kangaroo, both were seasoned well and delicious. Dessert was wonderful, had the popcorn ice cream sundae with Canoe cracker jack, what a sugar rush! Nice ambience and the wait staff were very attentive and informative.

Canoe is one of our favorite restaurants for special occasions. The food is outstanding and the place has a great, vibrant celebratory vibe. The waiters know their stuff and can recommend the appetizers and entrees that meet your fancy. Formal food in a non-stuffy setting.

Christmas at the Canoe

Wow!! is an all inclusive word that describes my experience eating at the "Canoe" on Paces Ferry Road in Atlanta. Situated on the Chattahoochee" creates an ambiance of contentment and anticipation of the gastranomical explosion of tastes offered on the menu. Chef Carvel Gould , using food as her mediam presents to the patron an overall excellent experience that is both unique and tasty.

Clean and fresh are the words that come to mind when observing the overall view of the restaurant . ' Good' really isn't the word to describe or do justice to the restaurant. Great and excellent would be better.

I had 'Duck and Eggs-- and my wife had 'Eggs Benedict', both were outstanding. We were part of a group of 15 and I didn't hear one complaint . I recommend it whole heartedly !! The fact that our grandson Dan works there merely allowed us to know of this restaurant. Grandma and Grandpa.
