Our family is Aquarium junkies and the Georgia Aquarium has been on our bucket list for a while. Overall we liked our experience, the massive tank and whale sharks were amazing. However, we did feel the other exhibits weren’t that impressive. If you could combine the Georgia Aquarium and the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago that would be close to the perfect Aquarium experience.

I have been there twice and I enjoyed both time. I like watching the fish swim around and the otters are awesome.

They are rated the #1 aquarium in the country right now, for a good reason. They have some amazing exhibits, including beluga whales, sea otters, a dolphin show, and recently added sea lions. Their biggest and best tank features 4 whale sharks along with a variety of other sharks and fish. Everything is really well laid out and they have tons of interactive/educational areas for kids too. They do lots of cool events, like Sips under the Sea, and their ballroom for events is spectacular.

The Georgia Aquarium is an amazing place. I just love the dolphin show there. The design of the aquarium is excellent. There are many beautiful fishes and also the he whale sharks, beluga, giant octopus, and sea dragons are among my favorite creatures!!The big pool, the shows, the backstage tour is gorgeous, staff and everything. Its a really awesome place to take the pictures.

This is one of my favorite Atlanta attractions, and with the cost of entrance. It is the only place I can whole heartedly recommend to visitors. These is so much to see and learn and the space absorbs the large crowds. Buy tickets on line to avoid the wait and possibly get a discount.

Atlanta is my home, so naturally I visit the aquarium with each family member that comes into town. I've gone about 6 times since the aquarium opened. Each time there is something new to see or do! I love this place.

I recommend walking through Centennial Park before or after you visit. If touring with young children, you may want to bring a bathing suit just in case you wonder towards the Olympic Fountains.

A number of reviews didn't like the Dolphin Show but we felt it was okay. Sure, it could have been better but all in all we had a good time. Overall, the aquarium was top notch with many exciting exhibits and interactive programs. Our entire family enjoyed the outing and learned lots of interesting facts!

I recently visited the Georgia Aquarium and have to say that they have a fabulous facility. The whole place is split up into sections- fresh water, salt water, jungle, arctic, etc. We had so much fun looking at all the different species of fish and other marine animals.

It is a beautiful aquarium. Large tanks, great design of exhibits. Lots of touch tanks. Clean. But it's pricey and often crowded. We used to have a season pass, but it can be pretty boring after the first time you go. My favorite tank is the largest tank with the whale sharks - I could sit there for hours. There is also a really neat coral tank. Food is overpriced.

We went last weekend and found they were still doing quite a bit a construction in the cold water gallery and you couldn't see the buluga whales, sea lions, etc, which are some of the most exciting exibits. They had a small makeshift room for the penguins in the lobby, but it was pitiful compared to their usual location. It was disappointing. They should have lowered the price.

Great place to take the family or visitors to Atlanta for a day of learning and fun.

I've been to the Monterey Aquarium and many others, but this one is by far the best. It's enormous and you feel the animals have space, unlike other aquariums. The belugas are mesmerizing to watch, very tranquil.

Being able to touch the rays and the sharks in multiple pools was very cool. The many different areas were able to keep me entertained for quite some time. However if you plan on eating there bring plenty of cash. While ordering I felt like I was personally keeping one of the whales alive with how much I paid for a small meal. Only about four hours are required to see the entire aquarium, that is even with frequent stops to read about each animal. The dolphin display wasn't finished when I went, but it looked like it was going to be phenomenal.

First off, I cannot believe that this is the world's largest aquarium. I have been to other aquariums and they seemed much larger than this one. We went this past Saturday (07/18/09) for the first and last time. We luckily had purchased advanced tickets online otherwise we would have had to wait in line for three hours (it was 11:00 we we arrived and the next available tickets were at 2:00.) The experience was horrible. There were at a minimum 500 people there which meant that you could barely walk anywhere without being pushed into someone. We saw very little animals due to the number of people crowding in to see them as well. We also went to see the Titantic exhibit which was also very disappointing as pictures could not be taken. I thought that the exhibit would have more than it did. The highlight of the experience was receiving the boarding pass onto the Titantic and discovering whether or not "you" lived or died at the end. I definitely do not think that the Titantic exhibit should have been an additional fee though. We will not be back to this aquarium. Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies is much better and not nearly as crowded. I would recommend it to anyone!

we planned out visit to the aquarium and to six flags for a weekend. the weather didnt agree with six flags on saturday and we were planning on the aquarium on sunday so when i called to change i spoke to a very friendly lady and she said i could call her back personally and get it changed the day before. the weather was still going to be bad for saturday and i called her back and she changed it right away. i already knew we would get great service at the aquarium. when we got there we just walked right up and got our tickets and went right in.friendly workers the whole way. there to take a picture for you if you need it and help you find your way. the exhibits were amazing. a few were under construction but i guess thats normal. its better to go in the morning on the weekends before everyone starts arriving you can walk through most of it without a lot of people.educational and fascinating speeches are giving in some areas like the beluga whales and whale sharks. all in all an excellent place and great experience.

It's beautiful, a great one-time pricey visit. The Monterey Aquarium is way bigger with more exhibits, but if you are in Atlanta- this is the only Aquarium to go to.
