Have been a loyal patron since they opened. Brought many friends. And even two meetings with over 10 guests. They ate known for their lobster mac & cheese. It used to be served in a cauldronand was more than enough for two to share. I agree with the new presentation and applaude them for decreasing the price. Ours had three small pieces of lobster, and there were also three pieces of bowtie pasta mixed in, it looked to me as if they had accidentally fell in. And not removed. I was told that if now included bowtie pasta. When we made the manager aware of our disappointment and how underwhelmed we were. "We're sorry you feel that way" WOW...the server at least told us that she would let the owner know.

I originally posted earlier in the week, while still at the table. I guess that one was misplaced.

So I'm totally here for the lobster mac and cheese that Poor Calvin's has! The atmosphere is nice, has a little romantic feel but also someplace you can grab drinks with friends and laugh. The lobster fried rice is amazing as well at the calamari.

An amazing little gem in the heart of midtown. The decor is awesome and really drives home the "fusion" theme. The food was amazing and our sever was very attentive to our table we will definitely return.

Romantic (check), good food (check), easy find, reasonable wait, plenty parking, not too crowded & noisy ehhh not quite mastered. I enjoyed the service, the food, and the ambience! My lover and I dined here for Valentine's Day and it instantly became one of our favorite restaurants. We adore the eclectic style and personable staff. The menu is absolutely amazing but heavy do come prepared to chow.

We've tasted half the menu and we've yet to be disappointed. The coconut shrimp, jumbo crab cake, lobster wontons, lobster fried rice, it's all very delicious! I can't recommend just one dish. The place is pricey but it's a great experience since it's an "absolute fusion" spot. You get all your cuisine favorites in one place. You will be impressed!

Poor Calvin's is one of my favorite places to eat at for brunch. I would highly recommend the chicken and waffles or chicken and lobster Mac and cheese. Both options are amazing. With your brunch, sangria is a must. It's definitely some of the best sangria I've ever had. Overall would highly recommend. Must make reservations and your party must show up on time!

Ok, so an early day off of work led me and a buddy to lunch at Poor Calvin's. What a lovely place! The food is asian meets southern comfort and it is quite tasty. There was raspberry tea, not the kind with a few squirts of some raspberry flavored liquid but I didn't even realize it was tea! It was delicious! The coconut shrimp was excellent and the seasonal vegetables are from a local farmer, yellow beets and all! Will definitely be back for brunch to try the sweet potato waffles with fried chicken. If you are going, go early to get a parking spot, there aren't many at all.
