I graduated from the "The Velt" in 1976. When I heard that my old high school was going to be turned into apartments it broke my heart. Even now some 39 years later I often think about the time I spent in the halls going to and from class. Having lunch with my friends,and remembering the great teachers I had. I must not forget the good food we had as well for lunch. Some of us would cut school but always made it back for lunch and leave again. Those where some of the best times of my life. It was a GREAT SCHOOL!
