Come try one of the best Japanese restaurants in Midtown. Since changing management in December of 2014 we have completely remodeled the restaurant's interior and our staff has a renewed commitment to customer service. The menu is filled with traditional Japanese favorites and we now have a lunch buffet Monday thru Friday. The sushi is prepared with care, using only the freshest seafood. Went to Ru San's on Jan 15,2015 for lunch buffet special around 1:15 pm. Thought that it would be a great idea to have the all you can eat buffet for $9.75 but to my surprise there was hair on my sushi and a dead roach in my noodles from the open buffet bar. When it was brought to Tan Nguyan's (the manager on duty) attention, he said out loud, "AGAIN!"as if he was already aware of the situation. He went over to the buffet area stirred up the noodles to check for more roaches without removing the item and left it sitting out in the chafing dish all while others continued to eat during the lunch hour. When I called back to notify the owner of the establishment Kayla Nguyan (the assistant manager) was well aware of the roaches being at the establishment and tried to justify the situation saying," We are a mom and pop restaurant and we cannot afford renovations because we don't have the money. I hope you can understand we pay pest control to come out, but the building is old,we've been here for a long time...,"and was not apologetic until after I mentioned that she wasn't towards me. WHY IS THIS PLACE STILL OPEN? I've taken the initiative to contact Environmental Health because clearly they believe that this behavior is acceptable. Please be aware! See article below!

Update received a phone call from Thai Nguyan, (Ru San's Restaurant Owner of Kennesaw and Midtown locations) on Friday Jan, 16, 2015. I informed him about the cockroach that was found in my noodles from the lunch buffet and how Kayla (the assistant manager) tried to justify the situation without being apologetic. I explained that I was sick after eating at his Ru San's Kennesaw location. Knowing that i was very unhappy about what took place Mr. Ngygan had the audacity to ask if I would give them another chance and come back to have dinner... NO THANK YOU! The owner is aware of the situation and explained to me that the bugs are in the walls in the restaurant and due to pest control coming out to spray the bugs are coming out of them. He was very apologetic, however still remains open knowing that this is a problem. Based off reviews this Ru San's Kennesaw location now has a total of three separate reports including mine about roaches found at their facility with in a six month period; you can find them on Yelp! If he was concerned about his customers health he would close the doors of this Ru Sans Location and handle this problem in an appropriate manner. Consumers please be aware! DO NOT CONTINUE TO GIVE THIS FRANCHISE YOUR MONEY

Usually good and fast service with decent roll selections. Prices are good for midtown, and the buffet is reasonably priced.
