The mission and purpose of Saint Philip A.M.E. Church is to engage in carrying out the spirit of the Original Free African Society out of which the African Methodist Episcopal Church evolved. The church seeks to serve the needy through preaching the Gospel, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, sheltering the homeless, cheering the fallen, providing jobs for the jobless and visiting those in prison, hospitals and nursing homes. It offers two types of education, which includes church and bible school. The church also features a child development center. Saint Philip A.M.E. Church is located in Atlanta.
