I brought my son here after a bad dental experience elsewhere. These folks were amazing. My son was super happy after his visit. We've found our new dentist!

We are extremely happy with our choice for family dentistry. My kids are not afraid of visiting the dentist and I love that they have a Spanish speaking hygienist who talks with my kids there. I happy moved from another location once I saw how happy my kids were after their first visit.

Great front office staff and dentists! I have always been one to "not love going to the dentist" and begrudgingly scheduled my bi-annual appointments. After my kids gave Ms. Housthon and Dr. Evans their collective thumbs-up I scheduled an appointment for my husband and myself.
My husband was extremely pleased as was I. This dental practice is ideal for busy families.

My children have enjoyed this practice for years. I've never felt an upsale and they've always been courteous and professional. They appear to know us as a family and are always welcoming.

Like other Yelpers, I was excited to see a dentist in my neighborhood that took my dental insurance and despite reading bad reviews I decided I would give them a shot. The staff was friendly and I didn't wait long. The hygienist took me back and gave me X rays and assed my gums individually on a scale of 1-10. She recommended that I get a "medium clean" based on what she saw. I was apprehensive about doing it as it tacked on $180 to what would have been my annual covered teeth cleaning but I said yes since it had been a while since my last cleaning. Dr. Evans came out and was very friendly and sweet. After Dr. Evans saw me the hygienist asked me to come back 2 hours later to get my teeth cleaned because they had another patient coming in and since I was getting the medium clean it was going to take longer and they wouldn't have time to fit mine in...??? I was a little irritated but said sure. I had time to call around to relatives and ask if they thought it was worth it to do the "medium clean" and convinced me to just stick with the basic clean. So I called the front desk before my appointment and said I changed my mind and would like to just do the Basic cleaning that is covered by my insurance. I was then told that they would not do the basic clean because I had been recommended the medium clean... Requiring me to spend an extra $180. Now, I don't regularly write reviews on Yelp but when a specialist who knows you know nothing about their field refuses to give you the basic package and requires you to spend $180 on something you have no idea if you really need or not... It sounds like a scam. I'm not saying it is, but it doesn't sound good when I'm not allowed to get a basic cleaning. That coupled with being asked to come back 2 hours later to get what my appointment was made for sort of blew my mind.

Our kids go here though they also see adults. Excellent with children. teeth cleanings are thorough but quick. Would recommend highly

Great for adults and children! My husband and I were excited to find a dentist office so close to where we live, and even happier to find out it was for the whole family, as I was pregnant when we began going 3 years ago. Since then, we have been seen by Dr. Evans and Dr. Hollifield. Both are fabulous, as are the entire staff! They always ask about how one of us is doing when the other comes in. Truly southern! I have been blessed with healthy teeth and gums, so I have only had to have a tiny filling. My husband has had to have some more extensive work, but we've both been very pleased at this practice. They are wonderful with children, and my son loves going too. I would recommend this practice to anyone I know.

Unfortunately I had to go to two other dentists before finding Dr. Evans. I was very particular about the kind of dental care and experiences that I wanted my 3yr old to have. She loved the practice and so did I. She needed a more involved procedure on her second visit and Dr. Evans made small talk and discussed every detail of what she was doing to my daughter. She even demonstrated what every dental tool would do on her hand. I would highly recommend them especially for kids.

I was so excited to finally find a dentist in my area that was covered by my new insurance. The office staff was incredibly friendly and made me feel at ease. I haven't had dental coverage in a few years and I was quite nervous. They found a few cavities and we set up an appointment to take care of one side of my mouth . The dentist was friendly, but seemed slightly incompetent after he had to numb my mouth 6 times and i could still feel him drilling. I stopped complaining because I was tired of the shots and just wanted to get out of there. at the end of my appointment he told me that he didnt numb the back of my mouth on accident. awesome. The next day i was in enormous pain whenever i ate or drank. I went in to see him and after poking around in my mouth he told me that i must have pregnancy gingivitis and that it should go away shortly. He made me feel like a complete idiot for coming in again and basically told me that i was fine. The next week I still couldn't eat, but i had another appointment scheduled to work on the cavities on the other side. When i went in I told him that I was still in a lot of pain. After looking in my mouth for less than 2 seconds he proclaims that he must have chipped my tooth while filling my cavities the previous week. He refilled the chipped tooth, but its now 4 days later and i'm still struggling to eat. Not great for a pregnant lady. While the staff is friendly, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I will find another dentist to fix the tooth that he messed up rather than waste more money at an office that is incapable of a simple filling.

The office is incredibly nice and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful! They accept Care Credit and have an awesome in house dental plan that makes them extremely affordable, and they also accept most dental plans. They have a playroom for kids off of the main waiting room, so it was definitely kid friendly, but quiet in the main room. I'm so excited I found such a great local dentist, I saw Dr. Hollyfield today and she was awesome! The chairs were comfortable, so was the overall atmosphere. All of their equipment is top of the line and brand new. I really hope they get a lot of neighborhood clients and stick around for the long run. I wish I would have known affordable they are and I would have gone much sooner. I don't have one negative thing to say about my experience. I did a lot of research about dentists in the area based on their reputation and affordability, people kept recommending Southern Smiles and I see why now :)

My initial excitement over a new dental office that was both an in-network provider and conveniently located in my neighborhood faded very quickly. While the office staff and hygienists were perfectly friendly, I became alarmed and suspicious when my treatment plan called for 7(!) fillings plus a crown, despite a clean bill of health from my previous dentist less than one year prior. I swiftly sought a second opinion from a trusted and respected local dentist with 30+ years of experience, and guess what...I didn't need a single filling or crown. WHAT A RACKET! Find a dentist you can trust, one more concerned with your overall dental health and well-being than making a quick buck (or 1000+) off of unsuspecting clients.

This place is awesome!!! Just had a first visit for my 3 1/2 year old today. They have a kids waiting room with a train table. They were so sweet and fun, my son was smiling as he got to hold his new toy: dentist ducky (a little rubber ducky with dental tool). And he even let them take xrays and check for cavities. After a trip to the treasure chest and ice cream coupons we were out the door within 30 minutes after signing in. And if you don't have dental insurance like us, they have a plan that you can buy that is very reasonable.
