We had a beautiful service and a great experience with Slay.

The old negative reviews make me question if maybe they weren't written by competing funeral home staff. Certainly not a minister who preaches turn the other cheek, forgiveness, and not to hold a grudge. We used them recently 4/2018 to bury my Dad and Terry and Nina were wonderful and so accommodating to last minute changes, and things they did not even charge us for. We were shipping my Dad to Chicago for the wake, funeral, and burial up there. Some family couldn't make the trip from Texas to Chicago.. Terry and Nina had my Dad prepared and family members were able to go over and have a viewing if they chose to before transport, at no cost to us. And they certainly never suggested or asked up to apply makeup or do hair or do anything to his body beforehand. We gave them the clothes and they got Dad ready. I had a couple last minute changes to the programs that Nina took care of and the programs were ready to go with us to Chicago. They were warm, happy, polite, accommodating people. I have used 4 funeral homes in recent years unfortunately. One in California for my Grandma, one in Iowa for my Mom, this one for Dad, and the one in Chicago he was sent to. Slay Memorial and the staff deserves a 5 star in my opinion and experience dealing with funeral homes and staff.

I have been a minister for over 20 years and would never recommend this funeral home. They are unprofessional in the way they treat customers and in the way they prepare the body for burial.

One star is all this "funeral center"gets...I wish I could give it a negative star. If you feel like laying to rest your loved one and having to do all the work yourself, and yes I mean all the work, including putting on the makeup of the departed, well than, this is the place you should go. Also, if you feel like arguing about how things should be at your loved ones ceremony, than again, this is where you need to go.



I have never in my life encountered such unprofessional, and I am in retail sales, have been for over 15 years, people. To stand there and argue with the family is unheard of and that is exactly what happened.



I could go on and on about how horrible these people were, but that would not make me a nice person. Which my family and I am.



Trust me when I say you will be doing yourself and your family a favor by finding another place to hold the last cherished moments of your dearly departed.
