Gentiane has been doing my Taxes since 2009 and has helped me through major financial changes. She is very smart about tax laws and knows how to maximize my return, giving peace of mind. Uncle Sam gets enough of my money and Gentiane helps me to plan out my year to ensure that I can hang on to as much of MY money as possible. She is friendly and very reasonably priced for a professional tax preparer.

When I was young I would just do my own taxes with TurboTax or the like but now that I have more to lose it is a great comfort to know that a professional Is going over my finances with a fine toothed comb and ensuring I am protected against the IRS.

I was faced with the unfortunate dilemma of finding a new CPA to prepare my taxes after my tried and true preparer deservedly retired. She referred me to several other CPA's, some of which she had attended school with. I took her recommendation and contacted GENTIANE SZONN HENDERSON to prepare my taxes. I was a bit surprised when she took several weeks to prepare my taxes but they are a bit complicated so I remained patient. She charged me nearly double what I had previously paid, just over $400, but, again, my taxes are extremely complicated. She completed my taxes and, other than the time it took to prepare them, I had no real complaints. Life continued as normal until I got that dreaded letter in the mail from the IRS claiming I owed an additional $1,500. Well, as I previously stated, my taxes ARE complicated so, again, I reached out to GENTIANE SZONN HENDERSON and asked for her assistance, thinking it was an honest mistake. She filed an amendment and I painfully paid the $1,500 to the IRS. Approximately two months later I got yet another letter from the IRS now stating I owed over $2,000! At this point, I lost all confidence in GENTIANE SZONN HENDERSON and found myself a new CPA. After paying the new CPA $200 to completely redo my taxes, she informed me, much to my chagrin, that GENTIANE SZONN HENDERSON had made some egregious errors in her preparation of my taxes. Not only did I NOT have to pay the additional $2,000 but I should actually be expecting to get $100 BACK! I was gobsmacked and I was also extremely frustrated with GENTIANE SZONN HENDERSON. I contacted GENTIANE SZONN HENDERSONand explained to her how erroneously she had prepared my taxes. I also explained that because of her costly mistakes I felt I had no other choice but to have my taxes redone by another CPA. I requested that, since this was a direct result of her incompetence that she should reimburse me minimally the cost of the new CPA. It came as no surprise when she refused. I repeatedly requested she make reparations by paying the $200 to make me whole for her grievous miscalculations. To date she has denied all wrong doing and has vehemently refused to remotely compensate me for the frustration, time, effort and money I am out because of her incompetence. To say that you should avoid GENTIANE SZONN HENDERSON at all costs would be a gross understatement. Avoid the nightmare and keep looking for someone else.
