T.K. Holdings is the holding company for Highland Industries. Highland Industries has been dedicated to the industrial textile industry for more than 60 years. The company began in 1940 as part of a research and development program to develop specialty fabrics for industrial applications. Highland became a full service industrial fabrics business and was purchased by Takata Corporation in 1988. Takata Corporation is a global manufacturer of automotive safety systems, such as seatbelts, airbag modules and inflators, electronic sensor units and modules, steering wheels and clocksprings. Highland Industries textile products serve the aerospace, automotive, building materials, marine safety, mechanical rubber, medical, military, recreation and safety apparel markets.
